Our derivative

The model adds illustrative marrow volumes, separate facing endplates, a proportioned nucleus, a basivertebral nerve and foramen landmark, a dural sac, exiting roots and original schematic instruments. The procedure animation is original; it does not copy frames from the manufacturer’s animation.

Models, posters, comparison stills and procedure video derived from this model are distributed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International. Site text and code are separate works.

What is simplified

The marrow is a closed inset of the body shell. Nerve paths, the posterior-wall foramen landmark, canal and roots are authored illustrations. Instruments show a conceptual route and bounded zone, not patient-specific measurements. Clinician review of these additions is pending.

MRI panels and fluoroscopy insets are original SVG schematics. They are labelled illustrations, not clinical scan images. The typeface is Source Sans 3, licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
